Lived in Indianapolis most of her life. Graduated from Tudor Hall School in 1929. She was a member of the Indianapolis Junior League, Dramatics Club and the Second Presbyterian Church.

Dorothy was "on top of things" - cleaning and cooking and such when she lived in St. Louis (abt 1942), but by the time she moved to Greeley (abt 1944) she seemed overwhelmed by housekeeping and such.
