| Notes |
- Siri Olsdatter was born on the Norheim farm and was descended from
many of the prominent families of Etne and the surrounding area,
including the old Norheim family, which can be traced back to the
1400's. Siri's parents were tenant farmers at Norheim at the time of
her birth, but shortly after they bought the part of the Nernes farm
which had been owned by Siri's paternal grandfather. Siri and a
neighbor, Hadle Olsson Ramsvik, had an illegitimate son who was born
at Norheim. Hadle married another woman the following year and Siri
moved to Vikedal in 1850. She apparently left her son, Ola Norem, in
the care of one of his grandparents. Siri married Jakob Torbj
