If Isabel wasn't born until 1292/3 then Thomas would have been very young in 1312 & 1314 (ie. If Isabel gave birth at 10 years old, Thomas would have just been born in 1312). Therefore Isabel was definitely daughter of a first wife, I think Margaret/Marjorie, since all 3 sources say she was 1st wife (this would make her a full-blooded sister of Robert I the Bruce-- didn't say "half-sister"). If Eleanor was mother of Isabel & his 2nd wife, then the only explanation would be that Eleanor was a long-time mistress who bore Isabel before/early-in his marriage and finally married him after his wife died. | Brus, Isabel De (I70017)
