      In the name of God Amen I Mary Stout of the Township of Amwell in the County of Hunterdon and Province of the Western Division of New Jersey Being of sound and Disposing mind and memory Do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following: (Viz.) First I will that all my Debts and Funeral Charges be paid and discharged by my Executors herein named. Also I give and bequeath unto my --- beloved Daughters, Namely Mary the wife of Richard Chamberlain of the collony of Virginia and Rebecca the wife of Edward Taylor & Rachel the wife of Richard Rounsavell --- of the Township of Amwell aforesaid their heirs and assigns forever all my whole Estate whatsoever or wheresoever found that shall or may remain after the payment of my Debts &c. as aforesaid to be Equally Divided among them share and share alike And whereas my before mentioned Daughter Mary and her Husband living at a Considerable Distance, I commend unto them or whom it may concern; my well beloved son Freegift Stout to be Trustee for my said Daughter Mary or her Heirs And I do hereby Constitute and appoint my Trusty Friend and well beloved son-in-law Edward Taylor, Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and I do hereby disallow, Revoke and Disannul all and every other former Testaments Wills Legacys and Executors by me in any ways before this time Named Willed and bequeathed Ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Twenty Ninth Day of September in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy: 1770 Mary Stout (mark) Signed, Sealed, Published, Pronounced & declared by the said Mary Stout as her last Will & testament In the Presence of us the Subscribers (Viz.) Benjamin Stout Isaac Stout Mary Stout Benjamin Stout and Isaac Stout two of the witnesses to the above will being duly sworn on the holy Evangelists of Almighty God, did severally depose and say - That they saw Mary Stout the Testator therein named sign and seal the same, and heard him publish, pronounce and declare the above writing to be her last will and Testament and that at the doing thereof the said Testator was of sound and disposing mind and memory as far as these deponents know and as they verily believe and that Mary Stout the other subscribing Evidence was present at the same time and signed her name as a witness to the said will together with these Deponents in the presence of the said Testator. Isaac Stout Sworn at Amwell the 19th day of April 1773. Before me Edward Taylor sole Executor of the above Testament named, being duly sworn on the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God, did depose and say - That the above Instrumt. contains the true last Will and Testament of Mary Stout the Testator therein named so far as he knows and as he verily believes; that he will well and truly perform the same by paying first the Debts of the said decd. and then the Legacies in the said Testament specified so far as fhe Goods Chattels and Credits of the said decd. can thereunto extend, and that he will make and exhibit into the prerogative office at Burlington a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said Decd. that have or shall come to his knowledge or possession, or to the knowledge or possession of any other person or persons for his use, and render a just and true Account when unto lawfully required. Edward Taylor Sworn at Amwell the 19th day of April 1773 Before me William Frazer Surr: Samuel Hill one of the Appraisers of the within Inventory being duly sworn according to law, did declare and say - That the goods, Chattels and Credits in the said Inventory set down and specified were by him appraised according to their just and true respective values after the best of his Judgment and Understanding, and that William Chamberlin the other appraiser whose name is thereunto subscribed was present at the same time and consented in all things to the doing thereof, and that they appraised all things that were brought to their view for appraisement. Samuel Hill Sworn at Amwell the 19th day of April 1773. Before me William Frazer Surr: Edward Taylor Executor of the last will and Testament of the within named Mary Stout Decd. being duly sworn according to Law did depose and say - That the within writing contains a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said decd. as far as have come to his knowledge or possession, or the possession of any other person or persons for his use.
