• Notes

  lived alone in Ann Arbor MI in 1850 and in Nankin Twp MI in 1860.   There is only circumstantial evidence that Rowland is Samuel's son, but he certainly appears to have had close ties to James W m Eleanor C Winans 9-27-1853 in the Dutch Reformed Church of Coxsackie NY who was b 1824 NY - it would seem that she met Rowland in MI but chose to get married in her home town Rowland and Eleanor bought property in Romulus Twp 1-19-1860 with Elisha Bibbins as witness.   In 1870 and 1880 censuses and 1886 city directory for Ann Arbor Eleanor and unmarried Ada lived together - Ada b 1856 MI.
