Hi; My name is James H. Hough. The William H. Hough who married Mary Pamelia Jones is connected to my ancestral line. To me he is a 1/2- 5th. cousin twice removed. Do you know that He & Mary had 11 children. William's father was Gilbert Lafayette Hough b.1825 in Martinsburg , Lewis Co. N. Y.. His mother was Mahala P. Fay b.1828 Dekalb Co. Illinois. Gilbert's line is (1) Burrage & Mary Mirande "Alexander" Hough (2) Mathew & Martha Mercy "Cowles" Hough (3) John & Lois" Merriam" Hough (4) Samuel & Maritabel "Royce" Hough (5) James Sr. & Hannah "Clark" Hough (6) Samuel & Mary "Bates" Hough (7) William & Sarah "Calkins" Hough. His line & my line split at James Hough Sr & Hannah Clark. Hannah was his first wife. His second wife was Sarah Mitchell. That is my line. If you already have this information , good.
