Dear Mr. Hart,
While tracing the Hoffman, Fulper, Hoppock online I ran across your web site, what a complete and informative site.
I did not make a connection with your Hoffman while searching for information on my husband's g'grandfather Joseph Hoffman, brother of Elisha A. and John Hoffman. Elisha is the famous hymn writer.
I noted that an Amy FULPER Rake was married to Emanuel L. Hoffman. Do you have any other information on Amy Fulper Rake?
Also, a William Rake married Anna Hoppock.
This all very interesting as our Fulper line married a Hoppock.
We are having difficulty tracing the Fulper line from Germany. The story handed down was that there were three Fulper brothers that came to United States.
Our Fulpers, Hoppocks and Hoffmans were from NJ and settled in PA where our Jacob Fulper was born in 1815.
Tracing ancestors can be fun but also very frustrating when you have so little to go on.

In doing some Fulper research recently I found something that might be of interest to you.
I found a will of a William Fulper, date not given when written, that bequest to his SISTER: AMY RAKE $1000.00.
This may be your Amy Fulper Rake. The will was filed in 1883 but I found wills that were filed long after the death of the person. |
